These terms apply to madinamasjid.org and to the emails and text messages of Madina Islamic Center ("Madina", "we", "us"). By using the site or our messaging programs, you agree to them.
Text messaging program
- Program: Madina Islamic Center community updates.
- What you'll get: prayer and Jummah reminders, event and class announcements, closure notices, Eid announcements and occasional fundraising appeals for the masjid.
- How you join: by checking the text-message box on a form on madinamasjid.org. Consent is not a condition of donating, registering or any other service.
- Frequency: varies, up to 6 messages a month.
- Cost: message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: reply STOP at any time. You'll get one final message confirming you're unsubscribed.
- Help: reply HELP, call (703) 451-4612 or email masjid.madina1@gmail.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How we handle your phone number is described in our Privacy Policy. We never share or sell mobile numbers or text-message consent for marketing.
Donations
- Madina Islamic Center is a nonprofit religious organization. Donations are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law; please consult your tax advisor.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We receive your name, email and gift details, but never your full card or bank number.
- Gifts are used for the fund you choose. If a fund's need is fully met, gifts may be used where the need is greatest, in keeping with the donor's intent and Islamic guidelines; zakat is distributed only to eligible recipients.
- Monthly gifts continue until you cancel. You can change or cancel anytime through the "manage my giving" link in your receipt, or by contacting us.
- If you made a mistake with a donation, contact us within 30 days at masjid.madina1@gmail.com and we will work with you to correct or refund it.
- Tuition and other payments for services are not tax-deductible donations.
Using the site
- Please use the site and forms only for lawful purposes and give accurate information.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site.
- Content on the site, including text, photos and logos, belongs to Madina Islamic Center or is used with permission. Please ask before reusing it.
Disclaimer
We work to keep prayer times, schedules and other information accurate, but they may change. The site is provided "as is" without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, Madina Islamic Center is not liable for damages arising from use of the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
